How to remove Friul Model tracks?

The Zod

I would like to take these FriulModel tracks off this M24 i had built at least ten years ago. Why? I want to see if I can shorten each side by one link,to remove the sag.

Well if you're going to shorten it, just cut one of the links. Use some CA debonder on the pin to open the holes back up or try to drill them out.

Thanks Bob. Hopefully the debonder will work on the glue that has been set for ten plus years.

Ok that sounds much better; I was going to suggest soaking them in hot water until they shrink

Happy New Year any way
If the metal links shrink, what will happen to the plastic parts? :hmmm

What will you do if it takes more than one link to tighten the loop after you remove one? I would leave it be. CR

I am hoping it will not be too tight a fit. It has a bad sag on the top run as it is now. I am thinking of stripping the paint off,and re doing it. :v
