I can't decide which Japanese aircraft to build for my next project. There are three to choose from. All are in 1/48th scale. They are Revell's very basic A6M5 Zero, Hasagawa's excellent Ki-61 Tony and a very rare Tony by Right Staff. It is a resin kit with a lot of multi media. The wing has a very minor warp in it. Don't know if it should be sold traded or just build it.
Also, I just found an article on the Aviation of Japan web site that early Tony's had a dark blue/gray interior and not sand brown.See article below. Gary S.

Tony vote for Hasegawa
Sell The Right Staff Ki-61 on eBay as it, being the 'plain' Ki-61, is the rare short nose variant (the Ki-61-1 lengthened the nose. Selling it helps with funds for more of whatever you need or want). The 'sand' interior (many used RLM79) would probably be for this early variant.

Getting an eBay account is too much of a hassle for just one kit. For now, I think I'll just hang on to it. According to the article, the early versions were a dark blue/gray or gunship gray. Gary S.

I saw one, in Europe, going for 170 Euros. As for the link, I just went through it and it makes me wonder if that applies to my Hayate since it also applies to the Hayabusa.

I don't think there was any absolute color for any of their cockpits. We are just going to have to SWAG it. Gary S.
