Hasegawa P-40E

Hey guys. I started this one a few days ago as a way to decompress and just bang out a model. I'm doing thins one as Tuskegee P-40. The decals I have are for the P-40L version but I don't care. I also understand the differences in the variations but am claiming "artistic liscence" and pressing ahead anyway since this is just between me, you and my shelf B) This will be done OOB with the exception of the decals

The kit:

Individual 'pit parts:

The 'pit all buttoned up:

Fuselage buttoned up and the inside of the rear windows painted:

Wings test fitted and various seams puttied:

My intention is to have this done in no more than 2 weeks.

Like the majority of you, my dog is unimpressed:

Thanks for looking. As always, any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Regards,

Jeff

Coming along nicely. I think your goal is achievable. (y) (y) (y)

Oh and dont confuse the dogs direction of travel with being unimpressed. Just going to get some popcorn like the rest of us :popcorn

Thanks for the replies, fellas. I was a little leery of posting this since I know it is kinda poor form to just show stuff that is almost done but I literally started this project like 4 days ago.

Jeeves, this will either be Jeeves or NONA II. Maybe Ace of Pearls. Haven't decided yet.

Oh BTW; This is the sheet I have:

Thanks again.

Watching with interest as i have just bought the Hase 1/32 Kittyhawk in British shark mouth Desert decals.Ever since i did a WnW kit i seem to be stuck on 1/32 now but you need big shelves or a strong will and a waste bin :)

This will be a very nice model when finished.

I never knew posting pics of a finished model was bad form...I must piss off people something fierce then because I don't take that many in-progress pics of my builds.

Jeff,

Do you need decals for the P-40E? If so, I may have some leftovers for free (I keep the sharkmouth though, fair enough?).

Hey, I don't get bothered... just kept wondering about the work underneath the beautiful paint jobs you show.

Regards,

Kewl decal sheet...didn't know about that one. Tuskegee birds are among some of my favorites ever since I made one for a local Airmen who just died a couple weeks ago. I remember a really cool pic of one of the Africa birds with an interesting bomb arrangement of a handful of 30 pounders strapped around a 500 pounder...kind of a makeshift cluster bomb they used...

Now there is something I would love to see modeled! B)

Love the work so far Jeff. ARe ya done yet? ;)

Sorry, Dave, not done yet. Got a little side tracked the last few days.

Small update, all buttoned up and primered.
