Grant

That turret doesn't look like it even properly fits on that hull, not saying it doesn't, just looks out of place. I'm more of a Lee fan than Grant, for number of reasons. :soldier

The turret does seem a bit out of proportion. You don't suppose it may be 1/32 scale?

Terry :hmmm

Very nice job! :)

I'd just be careful about those ropes, They are nice and tight, but could loosen up a bit after painting/weathering, happened to me unfortunately...

Cheers,

Christophe

Mr T once again thanks for the reference images those are always great . I added those to the ones I have .
I just checked the resin turret I cast against a stock grant turret. The dimensions are exact. I wonder if it is the angle its photoed at or just the fact that's its raw resin. Do you have any thoughts on thos. I am going to try to get it in paint later so I will see. The grant turret does seem like a after thought on that vehicle.
I too agree with moon puppy that the lee is a more attractive vehicle . I still needed one of these for the collection . Even if it is a ugly duckling.
I just looked at the images again the turret is pushed back too far on the upper hull . I should have been more careful than to take a bad picture.

I wish the guys who used to work for me were as accepting of constructive criticism as you are. :notworthy

You're Grant is coming along great. Casting and scratch building is way above my pay grade. Nice to see a craftsman at work. It must be very fulfilling.
The only other Grant I've ever seen was in the movie "Sahara," starring Humphrey Bogart. I too think it's the most God-awful looking tank I've ever seen in my life. I would have hated to ride around in that bucket of bolts. It looks like the " Little Rascals" were chosen for the design team. :hmmm
Rommel must have had a good laugh when he saw those things coming. :woohoo:

My eyes could be tricking me. I am pretty old.

Not tryin ta be a deek , but that was a Lee in Sahara .

I think the contrast between the white turret and the dark body makes it look larger , yet to my old eyes it looks wider .
Anywho nice cast .

Thanks all for the words. Criticism is what makes us better modeleres. We put our stuff out there for the world to see. When other people tell us what they see that we didn't it gives us the opportunity to get better. We help each other
