F-15C Cockpit Question

I have rub into a bit of a dilemma. I am working on the front windscreen of an F-15C and according to the Aires cockpit instructions I am supposed to attach the mirrors and the compass to the front windscreen part of the kit. All the reference photos I could find however show that part of the real aircraft to be empty. I found a cool video looking over the pilot's shoulder in flight and it looks like the mirrors and the compass are maybe on the canopy itself? Anyone know for sure?

I posted this question in my WIP tread as well. Just trying to get the most visibility...

Thanks
Mike

From what I can find it looks like it is on the canopy frame.

Indeed, it is on the front cross member of the canopy.

Yikes, what a horrible difference it makes! The attached file size was reduced to 800 pixels! The hosted file went from 1539 pixels to 1023!
