Eduard 1/48 Bf110E Trop - Finished!!

Eduard 1/48 Bf110E Trop

Getting this one done slowly - A question if I may - would this scheme have all the normal stencils applied like on a green one?

By late '42/early '43 a lot of machines (Ju87 & 88's 109F's and G2's & 110E's) were coming out of the factories in RLM78/79, then sent straight to the MTO. If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say your 'E' would be one of the factory painted machine (a good way to cross-check is to look at the underside colour - if the plane has the earlier RLM65 underside it was probably painted 'in-theatre'). If it is a factory painted one, then the stencils will be applied also.

Well now's the time to walk away from this as it is as done as it can be without me completely messing it up

My overall feeling of the kit - yes it has some issues and perhaps not for those who like shake and bake stuff. The nose fit I could have done better, best to leave it open for an easier life. At the end though it's quite satisfying to say I've done one as they do have a bad rep around the net.
Oh...Here's a behind the scenes look at how the wash was applied :facepalm

Outstanding finish Dave, it looks great and can't see any issue with the nose, if you had trouble you sure whipped it.

Great job! :good: :good: (y) (y)

Because the 110 is a favourite of mine, I was always going to like this. But trying hard to put my own bias to one side - you really have done an outstanding job, Chef.

:good:
