Destroyed Iraqi T-69II

Bob, you'd better start saving your pennies, that first round is gonna be a LULU!!

It's turning into a cheap beer round by the moment!

This is quickly turning into a hijack of Robs build and a East Coast meeting of Modeler's Alliance.

No No No NO Not a new RAM:( :( :( dude I had to sell mine to help ends meet, and now you want me to drive in a new RAM...:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: aint nothing like a RAM, love the sound and smell of the truck. Now I have to work this out somehow :hmmm :hmmm .

Bob there is no highjackin here. it's gotta do with plastic and that's all that counts. Besides, I'm lookin forwards to that first round ;)

Ken we might be headin to V A this spring, yeehaa

Heading to the bank to talk about second mortgage to finance first round...but looking forward to it!!

Hey Moonie, if it helps I'll bring some beer for the hotel room party:blink . Or maybe some good German Schnapps ;)

Sorry no new up date on the T-69. Been doing the painting video for the Celticwerks motor comp set and haven't had much time for this model.

With the weather being as it is this past weekend I hit the bench for a couple of hours. The upper/lower hulls have been glued together and work on the exterior has begun.
I decided to scratch the undamaged fender using styrene, and the other severely damaged fender will be done using thin aluminum foil.

Yeah, that'll be pretty dang close...

Can't wait to see your rust and burn techniques Rob, really looking forward to that!

You and me both. The painting is loooong over due. Been working on this for the past six months or so.Way too long on one model. I usually get tired of a model after a month or so and have to start a new project.

Well ladies and gents, there is finally some paint on this sucker. I spent about 6 hours on Saturday painting. Well at least the base colors are on. Still the detail painting and chipping to do before the weathering starts.
Hope you like it so far.

It will be a couple days before I can get some bench time in, so the next update will be at the end of the week.

Thanks Terry

Ok, I did get some bench time in today, about 5 hours. Taking a short break right now then it's back at the bench for at least another hour. I spent about 3 hours doing the road wheels. I should have the model done by Sunday, then I have to do a base for it and misc debris. And I still have to paint the tracks

Pics coming up soon.
