Destroyed Iraqi T-69II

:Hiay guys thanks for the great feedback, very motivating.

Been trying to log in for the past few days, got the password right but it wouldn't let me log in

Not much of an update on this build, I have been waiting for my castings to get done. I did however get some pics of the first pours of the parts.
Some tweaking needs to be done to the molds, then we should have perfect castings. Here are a couple of pics of the resin castings.

Here is the wrecked interior, master and copy.

Here is what we had worries about, the rear wall with fan shroud.

I should be getting the resin castings this weekend and then will continue on this build again.

Thanks for looking.

Login has been weird, but our guys are on it! Now, it's a real treat to see a pro at work- what excellent mastering and casting! This will be quite interesting- and thanks for posting. \\Cheers!

Hey Rob, sorry about the logon problems. I think we have all that sorted out now. Really glad you kept trying cause I would have missed all this. Really neat to see how you work to make these masters. Very inspiring also.

Chuk,Gene, MP and Gene thanks a bunch for the very kind comments. I glad your liking this project of mine and the castings.
I am dying to get my hands on them, hopefully this weekend.

Been working on small stuff like cleaning wheels and other parts that will go on the model. I try to keep all small fragile parts off until the interior is done and I don't have to handle the model a lot.
I'll post some pics soon.
Thanks again

Hey Rob,

Awesome work as always. So if you're making resin casts, does that mean you're releasing this as a kit? Apologies if this question has already been answered, I didn't see it in the text...

Rudi :)

Hi Rudi, and thanks for the comment, glad you like it.

To answer your question......yes.

Actually it will be released by Celticwerks and distributed through Alpenflage Hobbies, sometime in December/January 2011. The Celticwerks website will be up in Dec. They will be sold in two sets. CW3501 Stripped Motor compartment, and CW3502 Wrecked interior. The wrecked interior still needs some parts to be made, mainly the turret area.

Hope this answers yours and any other questions.

Peace out

 He said I was his hero  Coming from you Jose that means a lot, thank you my friend.

Well I got a few of the first test castings and decided I wold use them on the T-69 while the mass production molds were being made.

I did a test fit with the stripped motor comp, minus the firewall that was not ready yet.

The rear wall with the fan shroud will not be used, instead I will scratch a new larger fan shroud and wall that is correct for the T-69. If building the T-55 the wall with shroud is the correct size.

Here are a couple of pics to give an idea of how the model will look.

Re: Destroyed Iraqi T-69II....motor comp done

I am really digging the way this is headed, Rob! Keep up the great work! Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Re: Destroyed Iraqi T-69II....motor comp done

Thanks Mike. Once I have the final product I will do a how-to instruction VIDEO on my website, and this may include the painting of the CW3501 Stripped Motor Compartment. This should help anyone wanting to build an Afghan wreck.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Jose thanks buddy, very much appreciated.

I have managed to add a few bits to the model the past few weeks. No pics yet. I have been working on the Motor Comp. set for Celticwerks, doing instruction sheets and a build video. I will also do a painting video of the set soon. The CW3501 Stripped Motor Compartment set will be available before X-Mas.
The set will be available through my website until the Celticwerks and Alpenflage Hobbies websites are up and running. Come Feb 2011 all products from Celticwerks will have to be ordered through them.
I will post when the sets become available.

Thanks for your interest.

Update on the T-69 wreck later today.
