Der Rote Kampfflieger

I'd think it would be better to be too small than too big, would look more to scale. Keep at it, you'll knock it out.

Dont know if this helps.

I like the Gaspatch turnbuckles but I use 1/48 on my 1/32 aircraft. It looks more in scale.
Hope there is something that helps you in this.

I have to agree with most everyone here...I think the buckles look great. :good:
I'm quite sure I could not work on them without driving myself insane... :gogo

I like the ultra thin wire.

Does not kink up. I've threaded the eyelets, twisted around a couple of times and it's tied. Yes you can tie it.

My biggest issue was keeping tension till I tied it.

I'm moving forward with this wire solution. Thanks Dr. John, for the suggestion. (y)

Now if I can only figure out a REAL turnbuckle. :facepalm

I'm back on the fishing line..The wire is nice, I can see using it in the Eindecker for actual support but I just can't get it tight enough, too much sag. Short of an actual turn buckle I can't make this work. At least with the fishing line I can heat up something and it'll shrink a bit.

Gotta get the mojo working...just drained. Afraid i'll have nothing to show on the Year End thread. :bang head
