While I was lining up the strike camera on the end of the nose, I noticed that at some point, the ram air scoop in front of the wind shield had popped off to who knows where. 😕 Also I added the whisker antennas using straight pins. Gary S.

Also, your photos are super heavy and are taking ages to scroll into view. It would be worth making them web friendly and that would also save server space for the site. :coolio1:

Agree your picture is 3264px x 2448 where as 1000px wide will fill the website frame and reduce the disc space from 2.6mb to 500b
I know it sounds finicky but with web space at a premium here it would make a difference.
That said, love this build 👍 :)
I could have sworn I had the system setup to reduce image size and space.

Anywho, we'll have that sorted shortly.

I usually run a little bigger than 1024 images size wise to maximize the photo display on the site. However the file sizes run between 250k and 325k for the most part as I do a number of other tricks on them. It is the file size that causes trouble, not the number of pixels as such, though photo size does have an effect.

This AM, I did the rust treatment on the J1N1 by painting a brown artist oil over a black base coat. While the oil paint was still wet, I "painted" or dusted rust colored pastels.
Yesterday the J1N1 was first sprayed a mixture of dark green on the underside first. Then the smaller parts were painted as was the Beau underside in Sky color. Then I went back to paint the J1N1 and ran out of my mix of paint. Only thing to do was to mix another batch, which turned out better as more lighter and greener color. Hope the picture size thing has been worked out. Gary S.

Assembled the engines for the J1N1 and only placed on the wings. they are quite a bit smaller than the Hercules engines on the Beau. Painted the gray one the Beau and did some paint chipping and the gear is down and locked. Gary S.

Looking good Gary. I've been following with great interest. :popcorn

As for photo sizes, one little trick I've been using is I send my photos to my wife's facebook messenger page and then download them from there back to my phone before posting on here. They are set up to downsize photos when posted. I'm sure other social media pages do the same thing It's just the one that we've been using.

With all the moving around I've been doing I haven't had my computer set up for editing.
