Another Mitsubishi in 1/72

Got some good time to play with pigments this afternoon . :)

This is the look I was trying for earlier but the clear coat made it vanish.

After fixing the pigment correctly , it is still evident if not a bit more subtle which is really what I wanted .

An airframe that has been well used in primitive conditions but not a derelict bird :snoopy

Nearly forgot that I needed to make a pitot for it but it is now completed.

Will post pictures latter tomorrow . Too late now. :java

Just who said that you can't see anything in small cockpits ?

There are only a few pictures of this bird in the two tone camo of the sino japanese war . None in color, so I took some artistic liberties with the build.

Any Claude that survived into the last part of the war were used in Kamikaze raids, so sadly none survived the war.

The kit only had a couple of problems :

1: the wing to fuselage fit was a bit short.

2: the upper deck in the forward fuselage is slightly too narrow which appears ok but in fact makes for gaps under the windscreen ( which is the right size and shape )

I thoroughly enjoyed this build . I hope you did too.

Thanks for looking . Cheers, Christian B)

Spectacular work! That really does improve the quality of the model. Well done!

I also have two cats. I really love having them around.

Great looking bird. (y) (y)

Don't know about the cat though. The orange fur doesn't look flat enough. :gogo
