Another Junk

I have a verlinden 1/72 F6 Hellcat update set that has PE frames

Love what youre doing Christian :popcorn

Thanks Luiz, Bob, James and Dave . Well , better defined but they look too thick to me . I had hoped that with the sanding, they would not be sp proud.

I think it there's a next time, I'll just use tape.

I spent most of today with the bits and bob for this thing. Of course noting fit in the holes they were designed for .
Worse than that, some like this oil cooler did not even have a mount place, so I pinned the items before gluing them in place

Most of these small bit had some sort of opening which had to be drilled out before installation as well.

Glad I took this last picture. I see I forgot to install the RAT. :bang head

Looks like I can start on the paint latter .

Cheers, Christian B)

Thanks Mike and Luiz. I was wondering if the fragile little props on the RAT would survive the paint process.
It didn't even survive the mounting . It only took six attempts to glue the blade back on :S

It won't look like much till it gets a bit of paint .

And here's round one...

Really difficult to see when you first spray it on .

I admire all the work and perseverance!

This is going to be a hypothetical paint job . Let's suppose this bird was painted RLM 02 during the Spanish war.

It actually was used during the Guerra Civil Española:

Here it is in overall RLM63. Click image to visit site.

I've often wondered why some folks don't offer PE cockpit frames.

Do you mean like this?

They are very difficult to use without marring up the clear areas. Part of Poland have had several for over a decade.

Regards,

Wow, is that an antenna or mounting loop? :popcorn

Bob, it was a giant bubble making machine . You know, you get in front of an enemy and make a bunch of gigantic bubbles . Confuses the heck out of them.

Actually it is an ADF antenna and the proportions are good :good:

Cheers, Christian B)
