Scratch built the seat belts with flat lead wire. Painted small diameter wire and twisted that together for the eject handle. Still got a few more things I want to do to them. I'm working off pictures from an excellent book. Highly recommend this book if you like the tomcat.

Those seats look the biz.

It never occurred to me to double/triple up the ends to mimic the buckles. I'll have to keep that in mind the next time I use the aluminum tape for belts. :Drinks:

My overall opinion on this kit is so-so. The instructions are hard to follow and many fit issues. Yes I went for a dirty, hard at work during the Iraq War. Looking at many pictures..I could of went even dirtier. But the many issues just took the wind out of the sails and I wanted this done.

What a nice outcome, your build looks great, lots of details, but thats why I went Tamiya with my Tomcat.
Currently plugging thru a AMK Mig31,proving to be a challenge also.

I've built the tamiya tomcat. It's a night and day difference. Very lovely kit. If I do any more cats, they will be tamiya. I have one more of these in the stash. Will probably get sold off. Thanks for the comment and looking.

An exceptional model, whatever the issues. It might sap the enthusiasm, but the issues are hidden in the final product.
