Here's my little Spyder- so easy to clean! The Volvo is a great car- but I could fit the Spyder in a cargo bed. 9 windows to polish, inside and out...

When I lived in San Diego, my wife rented a Chevy Estate. I bet you could park the Volvo and the Spider in that. That was a battleship. Compared to it, a Volvo is a sleek and fast whippet.....:)

Re: All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

As we are on vehicles today i wheeled the latest revamp out for some sunshine :)

My little 239cc Duc is coming on slowly. some of you may recognise it in RED form as it was on ebay for quite a while earlier in the year with no takers so in the end i bought it as it needed a home. It starts and runs like a dream :)

As I bought it

as she is now

Its not all original of coarse but i have given it a nod towards its origins with the paintwork.
The 239cc was the last of the model and probably the best with its slipper piston and conventional valve spring head rather than the double lever spring set up as well as its 32mm DelOrto pumper :)
Not bad for 40 years old :)

Re: All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Finally making progress on a build. I love having this new work area, it's so much easier to work on things, got room to set stuff out.

Re: All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

I'm heading out to Hobby Day today down in Anaheim. Gonna get more work done on some more models. Anyone in Southern California is welcome to stop in if you'd like. Of course, I'm heading out to AMPS at about 3:30 for that meeting before returning to Hobby Day.

Re: All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

I had a model show at a fly in today but the worst part there were only three planes there. At least your token P-51 and a Yak 52.

Re: All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Dug out a couple of my old 1/48 styrene Spitfire kits figuring I might start a couple of them soon. Nice to see so many variants becoming available in 1/48 in styrene and at reasonable prices. Was at the liquor store today and saw some -- wait for it -- Spitfire Ale! I picked up a few bottles of it. Now I can sip Spitfire ale as I build Spitfires. I need to get a1/48 Spitfire XVI as I have a bunch of photos I took of one at the Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum in Mount Hope (near Hamilton) Ontario, Canada.
