Dragged myself out of my sick bed to attend a model show,..didnt enjoy it as much as I should have,..some of my model aquaintances didnt show up which was a shame

Still I did get 2 Silvers and a Gold as a reward for going,... so not all bad

BTW one of the Silvers was for my Well Done, well
The second one was for my Berlin Tank Hunter
So both are contributed to this site becuase of the awesome campaigns we do

and get this Im a figure painter, right, and the Gold was for my Flak half track :hmmm

maybe I should,.....NO ,...perish the thought

Had a great birthday with my family yesterday. Received my favorite racing game on the Wii and played it all morning with my son-- Trackmania which is a game where you can race on ramps, loop-the-loops, and such...it also has a track editor so we can build our own-- loads of fun! Then Luke and I went to his Cub Scout Pack meeting where they had a couple wildlife rehabilitators with various owls and a red-tail hawk...very cool!

Went to Appleby's for dinner...and got a good chunk of model money to spend...just really having trouble deciding what to spend it on actually...you wouldn't think I would...but I don't get the green light often...gotta make it last

Not really Ron. I needed a tow vehicle for an ME 262 back in the 90's and various people had me enter it in some tiny classes (it's 1/72 ) and it has placed or won every time. Have not built any since

Well, after a very busy week at work and home, I'm finally building a model while watching the NASCAR race. I'm working on Trumpeter's LMTV as a gift my my best friend and Ian's godfather. He worked at the FMTV plant in Sealy, Tx.

I picked up an old Tamiya M4A3 at a swap meet in Phoenix which I started last week. I'm going to finish the three USMC Tank Battalios that fought on Iwo Jima.

I've done the 3rd Bat., and the 4th Bat. so this will be "Davy Jones" from the 5th Bat.

I just finished mounting the wire I used to replicate the nails that 5th Bat. welded to their hatches.

I'm crosseyed now.................

Still in Alcoa TN. Right next Mc Ghee Tyson airport. TYS is home to 134th Air Refueling Wing of the Tn ANG. About noon something VERY loud flew over, then another, I looked out the window in time to see the silhouette of a AV8 Harrier from behind. I grabbed my phone to try and get a picture as the third one flew over but taking picture with a phone doesn't work well for me.

yep, that's the highlight of the weekend so far for me. oh, I fixed the printer in the engineering dept..

Yesterday I was walking to my police car and darn if the Thunderbirds didn't fly right over. "Aviation Nation" is in full swing at Nellis, but my parking lot is the best seat in the house!

Another long day but job done. To tired to check the forums. Looking forward to seeing what's been going on. Heading down the mountain tomorrow. Doubt I'll be checking in here in the morning just packing up and heading south!

I really hate traveling.

I spent all day hoping that I get the job that I'm interviewing for on Thursday. Its a job I really want b/c its work I really enjoy doing. I'm also getting very tired of dealing w/ my supervisor where I'm at now. He has zero people or social interaction skills, so it makes working for him very difficult.

Alright, whoever invented the closing shift followed the next day by the opening shift was nasty. I am so tired. At least I only have 8 hours of work to look forward today :pinch:
