All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Thanks for the great replies guys! I had a little bench time.

Gerry, I can't slow down; I need to clear the bench. Too much going on. Hopefully in the next day or so I can actually complete something, I have several models that are so close!

Stay tuned, more to come.

Ok Mark ... I'll just have to match your speed next couple of days as next weekend ... my module must be finished ...

Rock and roll Gerry! You can do it! Everything is looking great!

Nice progress James! I'm looking forward to seeing that in paint.

Haven't had the chance to upload pics yet but I accompanied my son who's a new Boy Scout to Fall River, MA to visit the ships there just like I did when I was his age! We stowed our gear on the USS Massachusetts and then toured the SS Lionfish and destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., and the East German missile boat Hiddensee. Then they fed us a nice dinner and we had a few hours of free time after the place closed to the public. My son wanted to play around the ship with his friends which left me about three hours to explore on my own.

I loved it! Was able to crawl all over the deck and into the 12" and 5" gun turrets. Went belowdecks and all over- sick bay, powder storage, shell storage, too many places to name ;). One deck was entirely filled with models ;)

After all that, we hit the bunks where I did not sleep well as I was right near the door that led to the head so it got slammed a lot ;). Walked around the two PT boats in the morning and the gift shop. They had the Italeri PT boat kit there and I was sorely tempted ;). But at $160 it was easy to pass up. 3.5 hours back home to mow the lawn and wish my wife a Happy Mothers Day ;)

I'll post pics once I get a chance! Now who makes a good Massachusetts kit? ;)

Sounds like a great trip. I've never been to Fall River. Gotta go someday. I love Patriots Point in S Carolina. Took my 12 year old grandson there last summer on a road trip. Great time.

I've had 3 opertunities to go there and missed them. It's only 3 hours from me, 2.5 if I drive... :rotf I need to pull the trigger sometime.

Does real gators come with writing on theyr tummies Gerry I know Crocks dont :D

Well, Dave you would have to go down to the Bayou ... flip them on their back and see, I really don't know. The Magnets are to assist with movement in the miniature bayou (Model Railroading animation) ... as Jefferson, Texas is famous for having some gators around. I'm including the Gator pit, on My Module. They got out recently, when a rain swollen Bayou, pushed a log through the gate, but I understand a alligator wrangler has re-captured them ... :woohoo: :fencing :rotf

I finished up by cutting the little land bridge in the middle and testing the magnet theory the gators move when the magnet is passed on bottom of plexi-glass ...
