All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Piet, looking good. Is that going to be for a diorama or something? I like whole buildings myself.

Thank you,

This is just one part of the building ,working on other walls / sections... this evening .
It is going next to the tram overpass (Diorama)

Got a lot going on Mark, you going to rig up that Eindecker?

Thanks Bob. Hopefully a lot of that gets done soon. Yeah, I'm planning on it. My friend Joe recommended using EZ Line. I just have to find out where to get it and get some. I'm also gonna try rigging the Nieuport.

Mark get it from the source.

Been playing with this the past couple of days. Not thrilled with the kit. Sprue gates too big especially on the tiny parts. Soft detail. Not sure if I will bother wasting paint on it or not.

I relly like these kits, maybe not superdetailed but easy to build and something different from all the panthers and tigers :)

Greetings Mats

Mats is back!

Love the detail you added on the exhaust, you leaving that center bolt hole open on purpose?

Here I've been been fretting over the frame of the spare track rack on the Lee and you did that. I just need to break out the ol' knogin' and get to scratchin'. Got me inspired Mats. :zen (y)

:popcorn

Think i let that center bolt be "missing in action" :coolio

Yes i start to find my way back to the bench again :dance

Nice looking Paper Panzer there Mats! Have considered picking up the gigantic SPG that the Germans had prototyped, but never went beyond that. My local hobby shop has a bunch of higher end kits back in the "special" back room along with a ginormous amount of AM stock that they areselling for a lady. I dug through a bunch of the AM stuff saturday :bang head :facepalm :smack (probably shouldn't have) They had some AM tracks for the E series of tanks in that mess believe it or not. (let me know if you want some AM tracks and I will get you some info)

There was a lot of stuff for WW1 1/32 aircraft (Yeah for WNW kits James) Will get some picks of what I shouldn't have bought later today.

Also worked on my King Tiger build and used the lathe to get all the road wheels smoothed out. (I know Bob :smack ) Used a chuck I never thought would get used for some of it. Also got the Friul tracks sized and it all set together. Looks good, but the tracks are matched for length not link count. Turns out the Friul links are not real consistant on size. With the lengths matched, the tracks fit and hang quite nicely. (yup photos later, I am at work  )

Mats! Glad ta see ya back at the bench!! :woohoo: B) :drinks :drinks

Ok fellas, I managed to sneak in some bench time and did a bit of touchin' up the paint on the Kfir So, thot I'd post some pics now that the canards are in place.

What's on the bench? A workbench!

C596575F-A09F-42AC-9AA6-3F9201338146_zpsqsxee0qc.jpg

I have to get use to having a dog around the house that I didn't train. Woke up Saturday morning to find that Gunner had decided to use the spool caddies that I built for door prizes as chew toys. My fault for leaving them out where he could get them, but I did lay on the guilt trip. So off to Lowe's for more materials and then out to the shop to cut some wood. As I looked around at the shop, I knew that it was time to clean it. It was on my list of things to do during the winter months. So, with a nice, cool day and the tunes turned up, I went to work. threw a bunch of stuff away and then made sure I had a stable workbench. I put the big monster sliding miter saw on the floor and put the little one where I can use it. Turned the table saw sideways and moved the drill press to the workbench. Hung up all the tools and put everything where I can find it. Now I have a nice spot to do some woodworking and keep it out of the hobby room.

Looks good Kenny! Bout time ya cleaaned that space up!! :drinks

I didn't get much time on the bench today. Spent a good part of my time lookin' over Tiger tank sites :frantic Managed to clean up some parts that had ejector pin marks & touched up the paint on the Kfir some more. Think I'll do decals this weekend if all goes well :hmmm

I gess I'll see if I can finish up the Kfir or, at least get some more decals on her before dinner... Did some work on the Tiger last night. Will get pics later :soldier

Bench is stagnated and so are my sinuses. Got a head cold and can't do nuffin'. Hate it!

Got diagnoses on the heat in the garage, too expensive to fix so I gotta get a new heating system down there. :hmmm

Been fighting a beast of a head cold myself going on week 3...even had pink eye in the middle of it last week. Still have one ear completely closed off and am starting a new antibiotic today. Did manage to get most of the tracks on the Sturmtiger and the dark green painted on the Stuka...pics soon :)
