I appreciate what yoou said Barney and am glad you are feeling better.
I had seriously thought about getting a second dog to be a companion to Harley before he died. Problem is I am gone almost 10 hours a day to work and really have no time to spend with a dog. He spent so much time alone that I would not do that again.
Felt bad about it but couldn't do anything about it.
That's the problem when you are single and alone.

Ditto...You're not replacing him, you can never do that. You're getting a new buddy who will have his on unique personality.
I have 3 now but none of them replaces my sweet Millie

If I wasn't single, I would seriously consider it. Too much to do, not enough time, and being gone most of the day just isn't fair to any pup. Besides, it is way too soon to even be thinking about another good buddy.
Then again I might reconsider in a few months or another sweet pup might just come find me.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?
So today is a (planned) day-off as Frau has to spend the day up in Hamilton on a course and I need to be home in case of 'emergencies' that may or may not be caused by Daddies Little Stormtroopers, luckily it's a relatively light day at work and the truck can cover it's own load plus the vans'.
So it's 0923 local and I've already vacuumed the schloss from one wing to the other except Ben's room which is covered in Lego mines !!. I've also cleaned and tidied the bathrooms and got the dishwasher filled and started.
So, do I spend the rest of my time drinking coffee and hanging around the interweb or do I break-out the Catalina and put the decals on.... :hmmm
Decisions, decisions.

Well tomorrow is my last day of training for the new job. So tired of being in a training room. But I've already started to take live chats and help people out with their internet :geek Also just found out they created a bonus system, which has no cap.

I'm about to head out to open up the Hall for this month's Hobby Day Friday. Later tonight, I get to run the spotlight for this evening's Nativity Play performances.

Was just straightening up in the garage and went to lift a 12-pack of Lagunitas IPA. The bottom fell out and 4 of the little darlings met an untimely and explosive end. That area is now cleaner than it's been in a looong time- can't have Andi finding any bits of broken glass!

...So y'all know just how different things are down here, and for Dave, Laurence and Phil, but by way of emphasising that, yesterday when we went to a local farm to get this years Christmas Tree, I managed to get sunburned (it was 23c).
This evening most of New Plymouth will be at Christmas at the Bowl, a free open-air concert that starts around 1900 and finishes around 2130 with a superb firework show. Picnics, shades and perhaps a sweater for later on when the temperature drops...

Glued to the news for almost the entire day .....unfortunately, today has been a dreadful day for Sydney and Australia. Still is as the events are still unfolding. I am pretty sure it would have been on the news worldwide.
It is not the sort of stuff you want to witness, fingers crossed it all ends well.
