All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Jeez, another lesson learned the hard way.

I was about done with the paint job on the vinyl rubber tracks from my Leopard 2 tank.
I added pigments over the paint job and it did look okay in my opinion.

Now then, most of the time I use a proper Pigment Fixer, but not this time around.
Had the idea to use a short cut, using Charcoal&Pastel fixative from a rattle can.(Conté a Paris)

Should NOT have done that, the pigments disappeared and it left a shiny coat over the tracks.
Should have known better! :bang head

Gr,Ron.

If the tracks are shiny then tell people it just passed through some standing water on a macadame road.

Cheers

Yea, Siamese can definitely be very vocal, but they have such amazing personalities that most cats dont have. That pic kinda looks like a bit of a Snowshoe Siamese.

Beautiful picture. Out of curiosity, is that a Siamese? Been partial to Siamese for a very long time.

Yes it is a Siamese but not a pure breed (thank goodness). We had a pure breed for 14+ years that howled like a banshee all the time. This one is still a little high strung but much quieter. We are guessing she is a seal point by her. Coloring. We have another cat that is part Siamese and has the coloring of a Siamese but has a white chest and paws which is quite unusual. I'll see if I have a picture.

Absolutely gorgeous pic's! I love how the owls blend into the tree limb, especially this one.

Adam, I've never heard of the snow shoe Siamese before so I googled it and it describes this cat perfectly. Right down to the marshmellow personality and the love of being out in the rain. We got it from a farm so didnt know what we were getting. So thanks for that. (y)

Glad I could help. It was actually a breed I was unfamiliar with until about 6 months ago when I joined a Siamese group on Facebook, and started seeing several different types that I'd not seen before.

Am having a rough day today. Lost my best friend suddenly yesterday. We think he had a stroke and then some undiagnosed heart disease kind of finished him off.

He came to me as a stray puppy almost 12 years ago. Was under the car changing oil and he came up between my legs. Surprised I looked down and there was this adorable little puppy face going "Hi!".

That is how he was with everyone. Always happy to see you, and would lean against anyone new as if to say "Hey! I like you!" Have no idea how much I will miss him, but will get through it .

Here he is on my lap.

And always was upfor atrip or car ride. Just as long as he could be with his buddy.

Had been dreading this happening ever since I started seeing the white hairs around his eyes. Never expected it to happen now though. :(

I'm so sorry to hear that, Paul. It sounds like that pup was meant for you- and had a long and happy life for that chance meeting.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Back at school after a day spent in durance vile (ER) and then bed...

Still, even though I was under the weather I put together the tree and strung lights; have to buy new lights...

Loss of a fur friend is never easy. I'm sorry for your loss.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

Many thanks for the condolences everyone. Yesterday was quite rough for me. Even worse than Sunday. Living here in Memphis I have been pretty isolated. Harley was more than just my companion, he was my family here. While there are some good and decent people here and the folks I work for are gems, the city really sucks. Don't think I will be staying here much longer. Dallas has a bunch more opportunities, is closer to home base for me, and most folks I talk to that live there love it as compared to say where I am at.

Will see, am planning on being in Dallas for the "Thing" in June.

Paul,

Many of us here completely understand being away from family and home for work. I spent uncounted holidays, important kid days and just general years away from family and home while I was in the military. I didn't even have a pet to come home to until 2007, after I got back from Iraq and decided to retire. Now there are 2.5 dogs in my life (I can't count a pug as a whole dog), a cat and more family than I ever had before. There is a great deal comfort in being greeted by the pups and my wife...

Best advice I have ever gotten and can give... go find a new pup... there are shelters and rescue organizations in your area and dogs ready and willing to make you the center of their universe...
