All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

My mom passed away quite peacefully this morning. She had been in hospice for a couple of months- we saw her soon after that happened. We cut that trip short to be with my wife's mom when she, too, passed. It's been quite the summer, I'll tell ya. We're okay, though- life is what happens to we mortal folk! Our moms had long and (generally) happy lives- you can't ask for more than that.

My condolences and prayers for you and your wife Chuck. I know the pain of losing someone special and nobody is more special than your mom. Keep the faith and if there's anything I can do to help, just say the word.

Aw, ChukW! :(

My mom died in 2010... it was sudden, but not unexpected.

Carol and I will keep you and Marc in our thought and prayers.

I just read about it... my condolences to you and Marc.

My grandmother passed away last year (last day of the year) at 97. Very sad but also encouraging that she had a long and generally happy life.

Regards,

Well, today I'm heading out to Hobby Day to open the Hall. I'll also be able to work on some models for the first time in a month! No pics for awhile; I'm still waiting for my replacement camera to arrive. Mine was stolen at Comicon, so I had to buy a new one. Got a good deal on it too and it is the same model fortunately.

Looking forward to tomorrow! Our band at church has been playing the music of Robin Mark, an Irish worship leader, for years. He's coming to our church tomorrow for a short seminar and then he's doing a show tomorrow night and our band is backing him up. Been busy practicing the 16 songs the last few months and learning all the drum chops for the 6-8 songs that were new to us and it all comes to a head tomorrow ;)

Well, after a very busy and stressful week, I cut 278 various traffic signs on my vinyl cutter to help my crew out of a jam, I lounged around the house today. Renee and I are getting ready to take an hour trip to Nederland, Tx to rescue a German Shepherd mix pup who escaped from a puppy mill out in the country. ASPCA wond do anything about the mill because it is outside the city limits. I'll post photos of the little guy when we get home.

Three years ago, Carol's oldest son brought home a puppy he had bought for $50 to keep it from being killed. Curiosity overwhelmed Carol and she did a DNA test. Bernie Kozar (the dog) is 50% Standard Poodle and 50% German Shepherd. He is the smartest dog I have ever know and has a huge personality... He got all the good traits from both breeds... lucky us! I hope this pup is just as smart and just as friendly....

As for the puppy mill... I know a guy...
