All Righty ... What are you doing today ?
Today's my b-day, so its been a lazy day.
B/c I've been out of work, having to really hold tight onto money, so didnt do anything special like go out to dinner or anything.
However, I was able to use some money I'd saved up from selling some stuff and I got some cash for my b-day, so I bought some stuff for the Queen Mary 2 model I've got in my stash.
Got a Gold Medal Models photoetch set, and a wood deck set from a company called Artwox. Really looking forward to building the kit, I plan on drawing up some custom photoetch for some stuff that doesnt come in the GMM set, and I plan on lighting it up as well.
Today's my b-day, so its been a lazy day.

Yea, that GMM set does look great, and it really does a lot to improve the look of the model. One of my plans is to take the GMM sheet and copy it, so that when I have the custom PE I plan on making made up, I'll include the lounge chairs and the chair & table sets that are on the GMM sheet so that I can have more chairs. The set includes a lot of chairs, but its not enough for a full load.
I'm also looking at creating 3D models of people to put on the ship, and then see about having the guy who I'm doing freelance work for print out on his 3D printer, and then I can have a full load of people as well, which should help the look of the model even more.

Ugh, not a real great day. It was going pretty decent until I got a message on Facebook from the wife of a friend of mine, saying that she needed me to call her ASAP.
I called her, and she told me that my friend, apparently in a drunken haze, killed himself last night. Totally unexpected, and only thing I can think of is it was a split second decision made under the influence of alcohol.
On a lighter note, I had a 2nd interview today for the job I interviewed for last Saturday. I feel very confident about this job. I just hope they decide to hire me now, instead of waiting to later to do it. I could see this job being very good for me. Its a composites manufacturer that makes stuff for pretty much any racing series you can think of.

Workd my fat butt off in the yard, assaulted the azaleas this year, they were getting out of hand so I cut them back to the nub. Hope I get some bench time in this evening...need to take some pictures

You guys take care of yourselves- I feel pretty crappy myself. This after being out with a nasty cold virus week before last!
This morning I sat through a screening of blur's Goon storyreel with these luminaries. I've been working on that on and off for over a year now- lots of fun- but feedback from these big-timers indicates we need to do some changes to really make it sing. We are way up for that!
