All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

I was the Hero of the barracks as I had a Teac demaginfier/cleaning kit. Most of us were death from the freakin' B52 engine test on the flight line but we had great audio stuff.

I had a Proton something or other...can't rememberer now, maybe a turn table?

Today it is possible and probable that we will go and visit the Sydney Powerhouse Museum, apparently got some interesting stuff there.

Been doing some research, there is a club here in regional NSW where they have WW2 airworthy planes and 50's too. Two of them are Spitfires and they are running demo flights :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :D

4.5 hours drive to the airfield all worth it. Flying date 1st of February, Spitfires, Boomerang, P-40 and Sabre to take off :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

That looks like fun. A walk around of the Whirraway and the Hudson would way cool ! Wish the site would offer more pictures.

Shalom.

Gremlins have really been busy this year.

I just emailed to find out where my order is. I had hoped to get it by Christmas this year but I don't think it'll be here this year at all. January 8, 2014 is the 1 year date since first submitting it.

Now I'm feeling like a retired doctor = all my patience is gone. ;<(

Cheers from Peter

One year? :woohoo: Sounds like health care from the Veterans' Administration. Oh, Sgt Millisor, you have XYZ and need physical therapy... let us ask for an appointment... 6 months from now is as soon as we can get you in...

Who and what did you order? A remanufactures B-17 from Boeing?

Sitting here grumbling. -35 C and had to go out. Car was not at all happy about it. Went to unplug the car to find plug was frozen together. Probably from the rain a couple of days ago. Then oh joy of joys the plug comes off in my hand. Will have to go out tomorrow if it starts and put a new plug on. Yuck

I ordered a bunch of figures sets from a Canadian distributer because I thought there would be less chance of problems. The first time I ordered the order was delivered okay which is why I placed another order with them. That order was placed January 8, 2013 and it has really been interesting. Granted the first attempt at delivery resulted in a stolen order but that was way back early in 2013. Two other attempts were allegedly sent out. Now, according to the owner a fourth order was ready to go out just before Christmas. As far as the Mastet Box sets go, I'd have been better off ordering them directly from Master Box.

Cheers fom Peter

Ugh... Luckily I have had few problems in my purchasing... I have even ordered stuff from the Czech Rep and Poland and had better service than from Squadron or several US distributors...

Bench time!

:yipee

I tried. Went to the bench. Have you ever spent all your bench time looking for something? Neither have I, I was looking for two things... my soldering iron and flux. No where in site, kept looking. :idonno I know I had the flux when I soldered the mount for the Gate Guard CF5. Can't find it. That's something I can't give up on, where the hell did it go? I gave up, tried to use CA on the cooling jackets for the Fokker guns...the gun site launched into netherlands...I gave up and came back to the house to watch TV. Nothing on as usual.

If I do not get a satisfactory answer from them within the next couple of days I'll nmae them then. Apparently this is very UNUSUAL for them. They have a good reputation and were recommended by a forum member. Sometimes things happen that a dealer has no control over. I'll give it a couple more days before giving up on them.

I'd get medieval on their ass in two weeks.

All Righty ... What are you doing today ?

I accidentally launched a tiny, fragile resin part into the very void itself an hour or so ago. After a quick reconnoiter of the floor I took a break and later came back to the search. So many drawers open- even a big tub of junk bits. It could be anywhere! I cleaned open drawers one by one, stripping them out and replacing the contents, including the piles of tools I has strewn about the bench. Fairly quickly I got the bench top cleared off. Finally I picked up the kit box and hey, presto! There's the damnable thing looking up at me. I think it had passed through the box by roving black hole.

That's my hobby- making tiny things and dropping them on the floor.
