A good friend of ours helps with wildlife rescue. Yesterday afternoon, Renee called me on my way home from work and asked me to swing by our friend's house. I figured it was something to do with our pups since he is kind enough to board three of our dogs while we're displaced. Boy was I wrong!

These nine little possums were found on the side of the road after their mom was hit by a car. They were in her pouch. All are doing good an will go to a wildlife expert soon.

I was there just to hold them. Renee was trying to make up for the fact that she got to hold a baby raccoon earlier in the week. Little know fact, raccoons purr.

Pup, they are cute when they are small. Unfortunately the adult possums around here look nothing like the photos you see online. Those are nice and fluffy. The ones around here look like they had way too much to drink at the bar!
