A Pair of Dreidecker.

Watching to see how this turns out. I still have a lot to learn about painting and effects.

This is my take on the streaked olive finish on the clear doped linen out of the Fokker shop. Am I right, beats me but unless they come up with a 120+ year old who worked at the factory to tell us I'm full of it I"m going for it.

I'll seal this maybe Sunday, give it time for the oils to cure out. I see some touch up I need to do. The tail plane is going to be overcoat of red, thin red like I did the albatros dv. I just want the shadow to be there.

Well this is the issue with painting sub assemblies and even parts before assembly. The join between the stabilizer and fuselage had a bit of a gap, Should have test fitted before painting. I had to shim it up which leads to the predictable fill sand and repeat. I had to sand off the paint job because if I tried to work in just one area it would leave that subtle step between paint layers. Had to strip/sand RHS and the turtle back, so far LHS unharmed. Letting the chemicals do their job now for another sanding session.
