1969 Daytona Charger - Marty Robins

Neat! back in the day my Uncle owned one of the street versions of this - I remember car dealers and people chasing us down the street and stopping us at red lights to talk to him about it or try to get him to sell

After my first tour of duty while on leave we went to the Daytona Firecracker 400 and saw these cars run. I have some pictures in my old albums. I'll try to post them. With all the fire crackers going off going off I was a little jumpy, but after a few beers I got over it. Great work BTW!!! Gary S. XLV MMXX

I found a picture of the decal for the 1969/70 season.

I used paint to size the 42 for the top.
I printed them off, made a vinyl 4 and 2, Then place them on the Magenta.

Then I taped off the rest of the body for placement of the yellow paint.

Tomorrow the yellow goes on.

Applied the Chartreuse today.
I will let it dry over night, then de-mask and tidy up and the clear coat Friday.

Thank you,
Hopefully this week I can print out the decals and place them this weekend.
May be doing this on Thursday or Friday with this Daytona Charger and Roadrunner.
