1/72 Messerschmitt Me 163 B-1a

Hello all,

Since this is my scale, I had to think of something a bit smaller to fit in the Micro Model Category.

Nothing better as an old Favorite of mine. The Messerschmitt Me 163 B-1a Komet and ist trolley.

The kit is an Academy 1/72. I will be using resin Details from CMK (including gun and engine) and PE for the interior from Eduard.

I will be Assembling "White 18" which was flown by Jupp Mühlstroh in the 2./JG 400 in 1945.

Here the Initial Pictures.

You don't even need a kit w/ all the resin/PE! :blink

Looking forward to seeing what you make of this. :popcorn

Hello everyone

After finishing teh AMX it is time to get to the MMM challenge.

Firstly, I tried a new Camouflage-painting-System in a Messerschmitt Me 262. This is what I want to do in the Komet. What do you think? How could it be improved?

And this is to put in perspective, how micro the work actually was! Pictures include the ski undercarriage, the trolley and the exhaust.

Wow Alex....I think you're about to break the sound barrier :woohoo: Really putting them together now .

Definitely more detail in a in a ME 163 than I have ever considered .

Good to see someone else consider a recon version of the ME 262 :good:

Cheers, Christian B)

More tremendous work. I didn't think anyone could detail out one of these tiny aircraft so much. Way to go Doc!

Thank you so much!

As I always say, you give me much more credit than I deserve. In any case, I am very thankful for your friendship, comments and for following my attempts.

Now all the resin and PE are in. Next step painting the interior. I tried to "scribe"? "inscribe" for the first time. Not so good, but I will sand it over and start again. The PE turned out great.

Cheers all

Alex

Good progress Alex . Really a lot of detail in that little egg (y)

Scribing is a real pain . Don't get disappointed by your results . It is a difficult time consuming process :fencing

I do wish someone made the tow tractor ( with the 3'rd wheel) more readily available.
