Ahhh. @Brokeneagle, taking advantage that I am too busy at work to challenge me for the title of TMI (Too Much Information)? Awesome!Hi Tim, John is correct that this will be a lot of work, however this is most of the info needed if you wish to go down the Tiger 'rabbit hole'.

Well...nuts.I hate to bust the bubble, but there are big differences between an initial tiger and an early tiger. The kit would require serious work to back date. It would be much easier to convert an African Tiger to a Leningrad tiger than converting this kit.
That's where I'm looking. He compares this kit's details with the decal numbers offered of that real real tank.Ahhh. @Brokeneagle, taking advantage that I am too busy at work to challenge me for the title of TMI (Too Much Information)? Awesome!

Let's not forget this worthwhile site run by someone who actually measured and drew plans of the Tiger: Tiger 1 Info
Thanks so much for all this info Ian! Looking over the kit parts. There are three different versions of the mantlet, two different versions of the engine deck and two different versions of the drivers vertical hull plate. I'm assessing the situation...haha.Hi Tim, John is correct that this will be a lot of work, however this is most of the info needed if you wish to go down the Tiger 'rabbit hole'.

The hull is a couple of inches longer at 15 and about an inch wider. Pic of the Tiger and P III turret.Looking good Tim! How is it size wise compared to the Panzer III?
Better you than me. I have no idea where I would put it when it was completed…The hull is a couple of inches longer at 15 and about an inch wider. Pic of the Tiger and P III turret. View attachment 189475
I hear ya. When I decided to make the switch from 1/35 to 1/16 scale for armor builds I put up a 10' x12" shelf across the wall of the workroom. The Tiger is pushing the 12" depth.Better you than me. I have no idea where I would put it when it was completed…

Thanks for the link PaulI found and bought some new nippers back in Feb. They have turned out to be excellent! A bit pricey at $46, but have put away all my other nippers as these slice through the plastic rather than rip or tear it. I usually leave a small nub on the part as well but with these those nubs are smooth, clean, and minimal. Saúl was poo-pooing them but they are the best cutters I have. I will NOT use them to cut any metal wire and they work way too well on what I am using them on and don't want to damage them.

GK Single-Blade Model Pliers
Cutting pliers are arguably one of the most frequently used tools among model makers. As the variety of model kits expands, standard single-blade pliers often become damaged when cutting large assembly kits or the substantial, rigid sprues found on resin models. Using conventional double-blade...hobbyistchoice.com
