Imgur (image hosting) pulls out of UK

Thanks to the UK government's sledgehammer approach to online safety, as of 30th Sept the image hosting company Imgur have pulled out of the UK. So, if you have a UK IP address you will no longer have access to their site and will no longer be able to view ANY Imgur hosted images. I've only posted a few blogs on here to date and most of the images were hosted by Imgur. Looks like it's time to find another decent image hosting site:eyeroll:

At present you can still request your data and close your account. Here is the link to do so:

When I'm on my work computer I see a lot of imaging sites blocked, don't know if it's our corp firewalls or what. I really don't have a business justification for requesting those sites opened (we went through a major attack last year so we're pretty locked down now).

You're still welcome to use our Media server for image hosting but we do have limitations on size.

Another option folks seem to be going with more is VPN on their browser. Do your homework.

You can load photos directly to our site for us to see.
Make sure the photos are between 1024x768 to 1280x960 resolution and simply drag the photo to your post from your photo folder. File size matters and anything larger than the resolutions I just said will not show up any better on the site.
