Painting begins. First some pre shading followed by the base coat of Panzer Grey.

Here we go. I am looking forward to this. A bigger scale requires bigger skill set. This is going to be fun. I wish Takom would start producing their 1/35 version.

They do have 3 Panzer 1 kits. A double kit with a Panzer 1A and 1B, then 1 each of the A and B for about 20 each. Sprue Bros are out of stock at the moment.

I'm a little nervous about the camouflage in soft edge!
I usually do mine free hand. All of my Luftwaffe dots are done free hand. You can always use the "roll a piece of tape on paper method". The wings and fuselage of my planes are done that way. I am not sure if I have posted any tanks in multicolored camouflage. If I have, it was free hand. The airbrush helps too. I got a Harder & Steenbeck before Iwata bought them out. It is an unbelievably good airbrush

My favorite airbrush was an old Thayer Chandler I got second hand. Those were the lacquer thinner days. The paint flowed so much better.

I should have known. I would bet money every member of this web site has an elite airbrush. I don’t put Iwata, Pashe, Badger in the same league as Thayer Chandler or Harder & Steenbeck. Well, use some type of mask. If Takom ever reissues its 1/35 version, I am putting it in Africa (one color).

You'd lose that bet.

I'm using my 4th Testors Aztek. Quite "Elite" indeed!
