Nice collection, Warren. I built the car, it was a great kit. Had the float spitfire but sold it. I have the Sally on pre-order and am envious you got yours first!

Sprue Brothers had a a sale on Great Wall kits last weekend. I usually check out what they have and see if there is anything that really catches my interest. Usually I tend to pass, but this one looked really interesting and isn't the same run of the mill P-40.

And a little AM to go with it. Once I looked in the kit, it didn't need anything other than these two items.

The other day my local hobby shop sent out an email where they were having a BF sale with 50% off "Red Dot" items.
Had an opportunity to swing by there today and picked these up. Most of the "Red Dot" items are old stock and also had reduced prices to begin with so these were actually pretty good deals.

Yeah I don't do many suck and blows, but the 100 has a SEA scheme that I liked. I will probably be looking for some AM decals and tires for these as I don't like the Trumpy vinyl tires. Also, 2 of these are the only game going so good or bad they are it. The P-51 should be buildable, but only after research will I be ok with them to build in the end.

The P-51B will be buildable but I don't think it captures the real thing very well. There just isn't any good 1/32 B yet.

Geez John, why did you tell him so directly? :smack::yipee: I was trying to be subtle with offering him the best references in which Paul would see that! :shark:

Now, he might embark in a 32nd scale version of Rodney Williams' epic Airfix 1/24th scale P-51D to P-51B conversion!
