Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

There is something about the AH-1 that screams "come at me bro!"
Love the Cobras
We received Cobra in our Guard unit in 1992 after Desert Storm.
Never did get to fly one. 😉
They would not let us enlisted fly them.
600 hours in an OH-58A, still could not officially log command time in the Cobras, front seat time was logged as scout, not even co-pilot.

Saw Sprue Brothers had this and one just had to come to my house. It's really got my ideas following. Might start sticking some parts together tonight.

AFV Club's owner friended me on Facebook and asked about my reviews. I really had no idea who he was. Today, I received a package with that same kit, an F-5E and U-2 (all kits I had provided references for through their intermediary in California). Looks like I will be dealing with Taiwan directly! I can't say what I am helping them with now. Photos later tonight or tomorrow.

Regards,

Yeah, I want to do one of those gun trucks in 1/72 scale. I already have the spare APC; I just need to get an Academy M-35. Looking forward to seeing that one started so I can take notes.

Saul, is that U-2 Dragon Lady also in 1/48 scale? I'd love having one in 1/72 scale someday.

Picked up a few,

I've been looking for this one for awhile but prices of the kit have been nuts! Finally found one for a reasonable price.

Then I got a couple at our club meet. We finally started having them again, social distancing and keeping under our limit of public gatherings of course!

I'm not a big brewster fan but I heard this was a nice kit and I like the Finnish scheme of the box art

I've wanted this kit for awhile too but again, crazy prices and I heard it has fit issues and could use ~$120 of aftermarket sets to address those. A friend of mine gave it to me to try and do something with it. I'm going to order a new dorsal spine from Quickboost but I think I can fix the other issues with the cowl and such.

got all except the sub. I'm almost half way through the Pz IVJ. Just as a heads up, the plastic is softer than most and so when sanding or filing you really have to watch. A couple of areas of mine the plastic is off coloured also. All in all though a really nice build except the gun. It was a fiddly nightmare and as the hatches will be closed I didn't complete it. Also watch when building the gun. Its a bit sloppy at the muzzle. Oh and the return rollers. The ones I used I saw stated on a thread they are wrong and an after war thing. But in my books I am sure I saw them in use. Anyways Hope no one notices.
