10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN

Start will be Nov 16 based on when we opened registration for all users. Build what you want but make it the best you've ever done. Pull out all stops and hone your skills to razor edge. I want show stopper completions.
:mpup

I missed the first eighteen months or so, then was invited over by our friend, Les (Matrix1), been here ever since. So I'll definitely be taking part, and I'll be doing something fairly huge that I've been hanging-on-to for just the right occasion...

...this is the time to dig-it-back-out.

Ian.

The first model that I posted to the site November 19 2009.

I think I can do better now.

I'm like, what's wrong with that! :notworthy
Whatever y'all want to do is fine with me, just do something. I'm going for my holy grail P47 :pilot

I didn't join until late November 2012, was invited to check it out by Chukw!

My first post here was my Catalina, I'm in for this, just not sure what to do yet.

:idonno :hmmm

Thanks for the update Bob. I don't remember when I signed up or what my first model was. I might try and find out. Another consideration for me will be my 1/72 scale Tu-160 Blackjack bomber for this build. I gotta look into that.

That’s funny chukw was the person that introduced me to this site as well.

I was on the fence about this one because I have so many half built kits, but I feel like I should participate in this because this is such a great environment. So now I’m trying to figure out what to build. I think it’s between the following:

I have all of these ready and they are generally fairly intense builds with all the aftermarket involved.
I’m leaning toward the F-14, but what do you guys think?

Ok so I am pretty sure my first was a dreadful Zvezda SU-100.

I would like to do a different version of the "SU" series, specifically a Tamiya SU-122. Is that ok for this build???

Keep reading the tread, Build anything you want.

So, think I've narrowed this down to 3 choices:

1. Revell PBY in norwegian markings

2. Classic Resin Airframes He 60, maybe in this scheme....

or this...

3. a couple of seagulls

A. Lone star models resin kit USS Tennessee

B. Wings vacuform kit Operation Torch

:hmmm

I could finish the first kit I tried to build after joining MA. It was a horrible Forgeworld resin kit. Need to just do a couple of little details and paint the beast.

I would also redo all the posts that were never put on this site. (they were uploaded to PooterBucket and posted on Dakka Dakka) (don't remember just exactly why :facepalm ) The Stormeagle was a real bear to build. Most parts were warped and even then most didn't fit for flip. I did get it together well and even the front and rear doors work. (on every other one I ever saw built, they were glued shut)
