[think picture 1 and 4 are from the same vehicle]

They are of the same Jagdpanzer 38.

Makes one wonder if that is true color film or colorized post war.

:hmmm

Regards,

Yep,think it's colorised post war.
Here is the original;

Sometimes you stumble on colorised photo's and video's,which as a modeler you know that the colors are just not right....
[Anyone seen the colorised version of the Hollywood movie 'the longest day'] :rotf

Anyway,...just came back from airbrushing a darkyellow basecoat on the Jagdpanzer, didn't bother with a pre-shading on this one.
Next thing will be mud, mud, mud! :)

Greetings,Ron.

Ok then folks, time for playing around with muddy pigments...

When the side-skirts are on most of it can't be seen, but you know I just like to play around with pigments.
Here is one side with the first layers.[I will lose the turret MG as in Saúls suggestion in a later stage]
This will be a dark wet forrest soil layer.

Other side done with more layers of pigment and COFFEE GROUNDS... :java
You will still see a part of the base color a bit.

Here are the muddy, muddy roadwheels,I left one untreated to show you how it was before, didn't bother with washes or highlighting the center, what I would do normally...

That's it for now, more to come later.

 Don't worry,Tom.It will get brown and green colors on it.
Think I will do a ambush-scheme on it.

Greetings,Ron.

Benchtime again! :yipee

So I thought I could do some work on my JP 38[t].

Some more pigment work I did,but with putting on the rubberband tracks I damaged the pigment coat, and a grabhandle is now missing. So I have to fix these things.
The tracks are really NO fun on this one, managed to get them on,but I used some rude Dutch language while doing so.[Godverdommessekl*tek*trupsband]

Did not use a mask to do the ambush scheme, though the Uschi vd Rosten mask looks very good in my eyes.[want to save some money]
So I painted on the little spots by hand.

Well the FUMAN/Bandai kit sure shows it's age with a lack of detail but I just wanted to do this one Out Of The Box.
My little JP will be laying in a muddy forrest ditch,so some of the lower parts you can't see anyways.

That's it for now, next stop repair work and more of some weatheringwork.

Greetings,Ron.
