Wingnut Wings Sopwith Triplane

I actually think the British Tripe is cooler looking than the Hun's 🫢
I hope I can do it justice.

Here's some test shots of painting. Wood grain for the cockpit floor. I'm really not sure what it's supposed to be but I'm making it wood grain.

The wing section was primed, black base shading between the ribs, dazzled in some Nato Brown and a really thin Tamiya OD FX 62. I wonder what a gloss coat would do to the tones.

Looks great to me! Citadel sells some awesome washes that i add at the end I really like that help bring out the look...Nuln Oil is a favorite.

Yahn parts...pulled this out of the packaging, looks like parts a-f are missing, didn't get in the packaging. This was sealed so I guess, well I don't care. Won't do them again, no point contacting them to hear "Yeah we know, sorry. Tough luck you buy shitty product."

Still playing with colors.
This is the top wing with Nato Green over Nato Brown with some black and white preshading. White on the ribs and black in the center, not sure Iike that.

Bottom wing was what I did the other day.
There's a website out there that has a post from a user who has a photo of a Camel that was build during WW1.
I'm shamelessly copying the photo here.

The assumption is this is the actual PC10 used on the real thing. Light is bad but it sure looks darker than my first attempt.

For your wood, when you get it the wood grain you like, spray on Tamiya clear yellow or clear yellow with a touch of clear orange to give you the varnished look. As for the PC 10, as far as I have found it starts out looking brownish and as it fades and ages looks more green. So pick the age of the aircraft.

@moon puppy, what is missing? It seems the upper row are the painted instrument dials to be removed, below the bezels, and the diagram shows the placement of the layered dials. I do know the owner.

Parts A, B, C, D and F are missing. looking at the attachment point doesn't look like it was cut off. If you want to engage them about this go ahead. Like I said, I've learned my lession.
In fact, the other set of PE I got appears useless as well. Don't see the point of it all. Lots of attachments inside the cockpit and just replacing existing details that already look fine. The cloth seatbelts look interesting.

I've contacted Janusz... I will let you know if there is a response. You probably have seen that I do buy a lot of their products. It is the first time I read about this issue.
