I know what I said when I was doing the DH9a. I live with a bunch of females and I have the right to change my mind at any opportunity I can so for this I chose to go with the W-190 from Hasagawa.
Kit # St 21 turns out to be a real nice kit with plenty of detail in the gear bay and pit. The engine leaves little to be desired but since it wont be seen but just for a few fleeting glimpses from the front. I chose to go with one of the obscure captured aircraft of JG 301 and from the little research I did I found out it is the Wilde Sau squadron.

I only have been on this since last night and maybe have about a total of 8 hours in it. It is a pretty simple kit and the way it goes together allows painting of a few large pieces as well as the pit details. Most every one knows that the pit is fairly cramped so there isn't usually much to display there.

I used the kits instrument decals on this ip, I thought they looked OK to me.

The engine, lower cowl and prop, I have going in the right direction now Les. ;)

The gear bays are better than the last FW I built. It has plenty of surface detail to fill in with a wash.

Yellow 4 is the one I am going to try for and if that doesnt work then I figger sompin else out.

and you guys should be familiar with Eaglecals.

So I'll just keep going on with this one because I feel as if I got a good bit done and it is going very well.
I have a good feeling about this one.

Pretty cool for such a little amount of time . Definitely high on my list of favorite airplanes :) :popcorn

Cheers, Christian B)

I now have her on her legs and the mottling almost done,I don't go as far as Les does but this is going to be one of my best 190s. This is an exceptional kit and if I would have paid attention to some certain details it would be even more so. She took flight a little while ago and broke of the tail antenna mast, bomb stabilizer and the tail wheel. I think by tomorrow or Saturday she should be pretty much done.

I have a couple of more touch ups and some antennas to put on but by all rights I am calling this done. Ill post a better photo spread later.

Thanks for looking in
