WIldcat vs Val in 1/72

Hello Everyone

I hope you all have had a good weekend! :drinks

So this is the progress. Firstly, the office is ready:

Then I decided to tackle the seam lines (Christian this is for you):

Again I used the bone wax. It got the job done, the excess could be easily removed by scrubbing the surface:

After the scrubbing, the metal primer is added. All in all better than before, me thinks!

Dully noted Alex but the observation was meant for your benefit :)

That is all looking much better and the office looks quite nice :D

Cheers, Christian B)

Thanks Christian!

I know it was for my benefit - and that is why I am very thankful! I had not even consider it before. So thanks to you and all other friends here I am improving bit by bit. :good:

Cheers!

That's all we can do is a step at a time.

I think you are improving very fast . Keep up the good work.

Cheers, Christian B)

Hello dear friends.

SO the Val is ready. I tried something a bit unusual, a technique that is supposed to simulate the dirt being washed away by carrier operation and/or rain. I read it on Wings Master, not sure if it worked out but at least it was fun to try.

I could not use the Acrylic colours here so I had to use a Whiteensignmodel Enamel; got a bit too thick but again I am pleased with the result.

The Val is far from good, but still better than before (maybe again too dirty). I learn a lot in each airplane, so it is all worth it.

Next week I will begin the Wildcat. What do you prefer: extend or retracted wings???

Cheers and nice weekend everyone!

Alex
