A new product made of metal there are 3 different types. Look awesome for the WNW kits. I imagine would work great for armour also in the recover type vehicles.

Will let you know what they are like.

Just ordered 1 of each. A hefty price, but you get 30 turn buckles per package. Will see how they look. Of course they are small so wonder how many the floor/carpet/modeling bench monsters will consume??

Wonder if they make them out of something that's magnetic!

I see they also have kits. Any word on what they are like?

This is cool James!! Got them bookmarked. I see a WNW DH2 in my future.

I just did a quick count, there is 140+ turnbuckles on my FE2b not counting the fuselage and tail....That would add £50 to the kit so basically it would double it. of course a F triplane or something would be more economical but my opinion would be even in 1/32 they would be too small to appreciate with the naked eye.

Paddy, factor in your time building those buckles. Yeah I can see it doubling, or more, the cost of a build but if it cuts time down may be worth it to some...like me! :mpup

Yea but who builds against the clock ? I mean even if you finish in double quick time what you going to do then ? I know build something else. ;) Its not like building something to sell where time is money.

That's true, Paddy, but sometimes getting through an assembly step faster makes all the difference between finishing or not. A lot of the car model builders I know invest LOTS of money in parts, so doubling the cost of the kit is the norm. B)

When I see the PE frets, aluminium barrels and/or resin aftermarket stuff some model builders use on their models I think that the cost of the finished model is double or even triple the price of the basic kit.

I guess it boils down to how accuate a representation you want to create.

Cheers
