Tamiya Swordfish Mk I Floatplane

So while the Phantom is still in the shop waiting on some spares, I picked this one out of the stash.

First time I will be using so much PE, but I will only use the bits that will be visible. Already had some flying of into space.

Some of the PE fitted.

Sprayed Interior Green as per the instructions.

Instrument panel.

And the cockpit assembly completed and sprayed.

Trying my hand at a woodgrain finish for the interior panel.

Base cote if Tamiya XF-59 Desert Yellow.

Vallejo Natural Wood.

And then some Raw Sienna Oil Paint applied with a wide brush.

I didn't bother too much with the ejector pin holes because they will be hidden by the cockpit assembly.
