sWS halftrack Revell/Italeri kit

Well i'm back :) and i thought to finnish this one (already started the second one).

Remade the shipping and wheathering due to misstake with the airbrush.... :bang head

Here it is as it looks now, and there is a new slogan to, the other one was messed up.

And here is some pics of SwS no.2
This one will be the ammo carrier so i take some artistic freedom and change the flatbed to one from an opel blitz, just made some changes to the front of it as you can see in the pics.

This will be a sort of "what if" build that's why i done so heavy wheathering etc. and i don't think they made a SwS with that kind of flatbed and armoured cab.... but i find that it could have happened :Hiay

Oh and i found this at work in the bag with cleaning rags, it will now serve as cleaning rag for my brushes, i guess it travelled a long way to Belgium :woohoo:

If someone have a simple and good sbs for painting these with acrylics please post it up, i would LOVE to learn it! i have so many kits with figures in these kind of uniforms but what's the use of building when i can't paint them good......

Thanks Bob :)
Today i've been busy with the sides of the flatbed, drilling out the tie downs

P1130808.JPG

And i had to cut away a piece of one board on the back, otherwise it would interfear with the tow hook when lowered down (it will be in upright position but it's just those small things :))

P1130818.JPG

Also the lid for the gastank was to long now with the new flatbed

P1130814.JPG

So i cut a piece off and glued it together again, quick easy fix i'm happy :)

Yesterday i added the wire for the winch, on the first SwS i didn't do this :pinch:

Well i knew it would happen... screwed up the paint on the chassi :(
Glad i didn't do some bigger damage, it can be saved but i feel so sick of doing any paintjob right now, have many builds standing waiting for paint but whats the use, might as well paint them with a big brush!
:smack

Maybe we can help you out if you tell us. :zen

Greetings,Ron.

Got a tip from a friend in our club to use vallejos airbrush cleaner as thinner for the model colour.
Gave it a try and it worked very well, just need to do a couple of thin layers.

The drive sprockets i painted now with the vallejo a-b cleaner and 70982 cavalry brown.

I can't keep a computer in the garage for this very reason. Wouldn't get any work done.

Looking good Mats :popcorn

Thanks Bob, yeah it's my biggest problem, if i sit down at the computer then i'm stuck there :bang head

Well i got something done today to, filled in some holes in the fenders.

Found this little guy, think he came with a Dodge truck that my brother had (airfix/italeri/etc) long time ago.

P1130917.JPG

gonna try to clean him upp a little and see if he can be used in a diorama :)

Wheels are on, just the rear wheels left to do, colours are a little bit bright from the flash, the second is better.
