Soldier survivor bookwriter Sven Hassel passed away september 21st, 95 years old.

In his books he often exaggerate...but cool stories nontheless.
Gotta love a character like Porta the tankdriver.
Think that one of his books was put to film.[don't know the title]

Death on wheels i think it was (döden på larvfötter in swedish)
it was about the fighting in soviet, and the movie is not one of the best either, think i have it somewhere on DvD...

I remember reading his books when i was based in England. I always wondered how much was fact vs fiction.

Here in the states,Wheels of Terror was called The Misfit Brigade.
