Back home now, took some pics and shopped some nice kits and some alclad chrome and black base :) one thing that i forgott was to charge the battery for the camera!!! aghhh!! it died just halfway thrue the all the nice builds :(
I will put upp what i have in a thread as soon as i upload them to the gallery.
Ohh i bought a whole bunch of masking tape to!!! :)

The hull is painted in it's 3 colours, going to be like christmas when i take off all the tape! :woohoo:

Looks more like unwrapping a mummy! (y) How long will you let it dry before the tape comes off?
 
My experience is don't leave it on too long. I usually pull the masking as soon as the paint is dry enough to handle.
 
I agree with Mike. Whenever I've left the tape for a period I've had chipping. Looks cool though.

As an alternative Mats I've sometimes used paper for the mask and tape just the edges. Bit more work, but less tape and less chance of pulling up stuff. Hope that helps some.

small touchups here and there (hard to get the tape to sit tight over all the small details) but i'm happy with it, now the turret..... :D

thanks Mike and James, yes it's a good thing to use paper but here it was so many corners and strange angles so i decided to go with thape all the way and the tamiya tape is working great! i used some household masking tape (freeze tape) on the tracks, and it was stuck pretty hard.
