Simple photo booth.

Space is a premium in my shop, so I tucked a photo platform into roof line about a second bench/shelf area.

It's a Halogen work lamp shield by TuffSpun, the bare bulb on the side is LED and fills the shadows nicely.

It's at eye level, so comfortable for me not to have to bend down to focus, etc.

Here's shot of Karl in it, you get a more accurate idea of the tone:

Of course as I'm looking for a smaller tripod online, I came across a bunch of photo booth kits that include backdrops, side walls, two lights on tripods and a camera tripod all collapsable for the princely sum of $40-45. :evil:

I have seen them, I always wonder if they are too small...

That's why I always ended up taking mine apart. I'd be doing a 1/16 Tiger and it was just easier to scrim the bench work lamps or go outside, so there was no reason for a dedicated space. It's only when I came up against trying to get good shots of the eyes of these heads that I needed to go back to a booth type.
