Been tough lately, losing so many talented and influential people. I grew up to Annette Funicello, Jonathon Winters and respected Mrs. Thatcher. May they RIP.

Agree totally, see on the news here how some people in Great Britain celebrate the death of thatcher...
I don't care what you think about a person, but you just don't behave like that, show some respect for the dead!

Its always a tricky one the death of a politician. By their nature their lives were going to divide people and being very right of right wing will upset a lot. Mrs thatcher had the unenviable job of dragging a country in decline into the 21st century. inevitably that was going to mean shutting coal mines and ship yards, steel works and industry in general because we just couldn't compete with the up and coming far East. Whole towns and even cities were devastated by huge unemployment but the real problem was the industries had long been uncompetitive and were propped up by government money so the withdrawing of these funds was seen as political and Thatchers fault. The fact is who ever was in Government would have had to take that step, left or right but people will naturally blame the one that did..
What ever dissenters say when they campaign against Thatcher they campaign against the nation as a whole because we are democratic and Thatcher was elected 3 times by the majority. She took us to war in the Falklands and she helped Reagan bring down the Berlin wall with Gorbachev. To the British her real achievement was....she took on the unions and won. strikes in the UK are almost unheard of now and as a nation we are much more united. Some will protest at her funeral but then we have freedom of speech and that is their right. Whether its ethical or desirable is not for me to say but i suspect a very small minority will get a disproportionate slice of the worlds press attention on the day.
I would add that i am totally un political in fact i loath politicians. IMHO the very type of person that put himself forward for power is probably the very type of person you should not give power too.
I hope therefore this will not be seen as a political post but if it is then delete away no worries.
I will stand for a minutes silence to remember her.
