OK-- so I picked up the Horizon Michael Keaton Batman off of eBay-- pretty happy with the detail-

What I am not sure on is what is the best thing to use to trim parts...in particular-- the whole front part of the cape is supposed to be removed...going to take lots of time and care I think...any ideas on what'll cut this most easily and neatly??

Get your favourite hobby knife with a sharp blade, various size Band-Aids, antiseptic creams and a phone with 911 programmed into it so you can dial by pushing one button with your nose. Vinyl does not cut easily when it's cold.

If you want to avoid the blood and screaming, vinyl should be heated and it will cut very easily. One way is to use a blow dryer to heat the area you want to trim. When the cutting gets tough, it can be reheated quickly. The drawback top this method is the amount of noise the blow dryer makes.

The second way is to immerse the part in heated water and then trim as required.

It is easier to test fit parts while they are heated. If there are any press fit sockets they pop in and out much easier.

Cheers,
Rich

Gotta clear some stuff off the bench first Bob- but hopefully soon!

Thanks Rich-- that makes perfect sense!
