Pz.Kpfw IV Ausf H early

While my pile of tanks waiting to be finished piles up I started a Miniart Pz.Kpfw IV Ausf H early. It will be from Italy in 1943. No zimmerit was the deciding factor. The kit is nice so far but the plastic is soft and unforgiving of over sanding or cutting. The unit of the tank is listed as unknown. I have been researching with little luck but I think it would belong to the 26 PzRgt of the 26 PzDiv. If I am reading the turret number correctly it would be the 5th company, 2nd platoon, third tank. I could be wrong though.. No pics because we're broiling here again and I havent the energy. This is the one I am doing though, or at least attempting.

I have found that this is most likely from 2 PzRgt 16 PzDiv. Star makes some decals with some markings missing from this kit. They also have an interesting marking where the last number of the turret is on a yellow background. I think I will do that.
So here it is so far.

I've built a few Miniart kits and one of the biggest frustrations for me is how over engineered they are. But you end up with incredable detail. The second issue is the soft plastic. You really have to watch how you cut and sand. This kit is fairly simple which is a nice change, but the plastic feels softer than usual which is a real challenge. Also it is all flat panels which you have to build up. The tub wasnt too bad and the upper body was pretty good with only one spot reacquiring filler. The turret though has been a real challenge. Its not as fun as it was. Here is where I am as of today. Turret almost completely done and back deck finished. Working on suspension now. Then it will be tools etc and getting the supports for the shurtzen. Then I can paint. I'll be happy when this is done though.
