Dear James ... I also feel safer using Tamiya paints ... do not give up because I am anxious to see this AFV ready...your job is looking very good!

Okay, looks a bit stark. Now comes the hard part, weathering this down.

Well got the turret painted. Not a hundred percent sure I'm happy with it. Maybe try a different colour to make it a bit olive greenier. This is what the instructions basically asked for though. Basically now its detail work to be done and weathering. As this is a wif I might make some spurious markings also. Any thoughts on that?

The color combination is different than I expected, but I'll follow along to see where this goes. Don't forget to paint down the muzzle. (y)

Yeah I still have to paint the barrel so inside will be done. If you look at the box top on the first page you will see what I mean about the green colour not seeming right. Will have to check my Vallejo and see what I have.

To my eye, the turret and the green camo stripes are the same color, that's more what I expected. (y)

If it's a WIF, do the turret in the primer, I think there's nothing cooler than one of those builds where part of it is just primer. :popcorn

Thanks guys. Bob, I thought about it, but not really what I was wanting. So painted the gun Dark Yellow and the turret Dark Green. Started picking some stuff out as well. Getting there slowly.
