The camera picking up a bit of overrun I didn't spot (cause I would have rolled it over out of site!) trying to figure out the pin striping now.
I may get that Hasagawa weapon set to get a Aim9 on the pylon instead of the Aim 7. That was one of the selling points at the time, the F20 could carry a Sparrow, the F16 could not (at that time).

In that case, Fine Molds makes the best set, from their Tomcat kits which are sold separately with decals. Click for evilBay:

However, someone else is auctioning their open Hasegawa sets II/III ($9 shipping though) starting at $10 and no takers yet:

Thanks Steve but we're making a drastic turn. Started the pin striping with the decals, they are disintegrating. First one I tried was the swoop, tried it the other night, It crumbled. I got a coat of decal film, you know the little blue bottle. It cured over a couple of days and I tried the other side. Same thing. Life is too short.

Navy Aggressor Gray coming up.
Sorry, already stripped back down to her underware.

she'll be some sort of grey tomorrow. BTW, I did get the two tone tanks sorted out but the pin striping was just whipping me. I guess I could have gotten a black paint marker but I didn't. Stay tuned. I'll have this finished before EOM.

Well it can't be a SEA scheme but who am I kidding. The rising sun scheme is pretty cool ain't it? Not sure I have all the grey's on hand. Time is getting short.

And just like that she's dull and drab. I miss spraying enamels. This was Model Master Navy Aggressor grey. There will be some light post shading and panel washes. Got to find some of the low vis insignias.

Yeah, I wish Testor's Model Master had not vanished as they just "worked". I am still working with some. and Humbrol is still around and I have bought a bunch of those colors over the years. I have found that Xylene from the hardware store works fairly well for spray thinner on them. I only put out a measured amount in my little "paint cups" and add thinner to the paint and pour into the airbrush. Have very little waste and don't put the paint back into the bottle.
