OK,I'm in(if that's OK?)

Jerry , early in the war stamped pressed steel wheels were used .
You are absolutly correct about these limbers being later war and field mods .
They have wooden wheels and field mod hook ups .
They are also pics. of restoration limbers from the 60's or early 70's , they are missing some hardware and sundry accoutrements but are good examples of later war limbers .

You're doing a great job on a tough subject !!!

I checked my stash and I have the supply wagon kit and the red cross job , got them on e-bay back in the 90's .

You're more than welcome to them , as long as you continue the great work and make a cool little convoy with your current build

Pm me your address and I'll send them out , we can discuss the trade later , I paid about 12 bucks or so for each
kit .

The first black and white pic. in your last post is a Bundswier [ sp ? ] archive pic. in Italy in 1944 [ I believe ] and was taken by a German photographer .

OK,excellent. I can sure use them. I just need to learn how to PM some one?
I actually have great pics of pre war and early war arty but they are using WWI guns and limbers. The wheels are spoked but thinner. I am trying to figure out how to make new wheels as the ones I need don't have the hub indented to the inside but have straight spokes,as you can see from your pics. The wheels I have are from the Tamiya Gulashkanone and are close but no cigar.
Thanks for all your help with this. My biz e-mail is [email protected] if that helps you?

Got a little done today. Steps, wheel springs and almost got the arm rests/rifle racks done. I am dreading making the correct wheels though

Found a good pic but it is unusual in that it was buried after the war as trash and dug up 30 years later and is now valuable! Exactly the limber that I am trying to replicate.

I thought that the wheels for the Gulashkanone needed tweeking. I added width to the rim and still need to add a little thickness by putting on a rim. I used the hub from a late model wheel from the LfH18 and started to extend the spokes. I think this will work but we shall see.

The spokes for the other wheel were also concave and the limber ones were not so I fixed that as well. I will add some more doo dads later.

I am also very impressed not only by Jerry`s excellent attempt at this, for me, difficault subject but also for Glens willingness to help him out with both ref material and models,............

A prime example of what I love about MA, amongst other things

oh and for you lot putting up with me also helps :)

James,Andy,Bagge and Glen, yest, some of my favorite people right now. I can't wait to get my hands on that horse drawn convoy. I already scored the Dragon German Medics kit and I got some cool PE from Alliance yesterday. Life is good.

Got the horses drawn convoy in the post today! Thanks so much dude. You rock!
Made some changes on this limber as per the new intel pics I found. Pinched together the tops of the backrests, added pioneer tools, made a new back footrest and added suspension details. The new wheel is coming along but pics will follow later.
