My first steps into the world of sculpting...

Just thought i share some pics with you all from what i have managed to do, i followed the SBS by Luc, but i used Milliput instead of Aves apoxy (that was what i had at home).

Used an old tamiya figure as base and now i have done both legs with the putty, not easy but now i start to see when i can do different things as the putty dries :dance

Hope you like it, any comments and tips are more than welcome!

I haven't used Milliput, only Aves, so anything I can add is based on that.

With sculpting clothes, less is more. Things can get bulky very fast. It's no big deal, you can certainly shape and remove after, evening things out and working out the folds. Draping fabric is by far the hardest thing to get right, don't be discouraged at first. If possible, try to take photos of someone, or yourself, in a similar pose. Historical photos are great, but you almost never get multiple angles to understand how the otherside is reacting.

You are definitely on your way.

Have you tried DAS PLAS or CRAYOLA AIR DRIED MODELING CLAY ? ... .
These are very good and can be purchased at a nearby WAL-MART. The best one , this is a personal preference ... SUPER SCULPEY. This one needs to be baked on a oven but the good part is that you can go with the project as long as you like, it won't hardened until you oven it, of course don't put the plastic in the heat ... .
