MFH Matra MS11 F1

Oh dear, more hold ups. I am expecting the 7 missing parts Tuesday however i now find i am missing other parts including the complete radiators/oil coolers and plumbing. Also the rear wing and its bracketry . I will now have to go through the complete parts list and the parts i have but TBH i am thinking of just writing this build off.

A full inventory of parts shows another 19 parts missing. interestingly there are 3 pages of metal parts in the parts list and i am missing all of one page so its not just random. More of a cock up in the packing Dept.

As far as i can ascertain from others its not unusual. One guy on large scale modeller said he was missing 75% of the metal parts :) i suspect they have models they scavenge for parts for others and these sometimes get sent out by mistake. I probably wont bother again with these models, i have several in stock that i might just sell on. To be brutally honest they are a bit beyond my skill set....

First batch of missing parts have arrived next batch due Friday

Thanks Paul :)
When i was in engineering i made medical and scientific research equipment. Mostly very small volume apart from one machine for recording the speed various thinners etc would evaporate off from paint as part of the drying process. basically it was the difference between paint drying too quickly or never drying or taking weeks. I made about 100 a year of these over 35 years. These machines used consumables and accessories which provided a steady order to this bread and butter line. In 35 years and 3500 machines i never had a single complaint that a part was missing. I would point out that i ordered the materials needed, machined the parts, assembled , packed and posted these machines myself. There is absolutely no reason at all for parts to be left out and its a crying shame to me that a Japanese company, obviously high precision and 99% in house produced can consciously decide to let the customer check the box content and offer a no quibble replacement service rather than do the job themselves...
Talking to other builders they have all had missing parts, one guy with70% of the metal parts missing , but they all praise the great service in replacement parts ???. I can honestly say that if i had done this in my job i would have got a couple of warnings and lost my job in fact i would have been so embarrassed i would have offered to resign.
